FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I REGISTER AT MEETS?
-Registration is done at the meet sites, no pre-registration.
-Everyone (including spectators) pays the host school a registration/entrance fee.

WHO CAN COMPETE?
-High school aged students are the primary competitors in MITS.

-Middle school athletes can compete at all sites except Saginaw Valley.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THE STATE?

-You qualify for the state meet by meeting the qualifying standards posted at Standards.

IF I QUALIFY FOR THE STATE MEET, HOW DO I KNOW I AM REGISTERED TO RUN?

-You must register for the state meet when the information becomes available, with the appropriate MITS director. See Contact Us.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO MEETS?

-Do not wear school uniforms.
-If on a relay team, you ALL must match, and white shirts are not acceptable.

DOES IT MATTER HOW WE GET TO MEETS?

-Do not use school transportation.
-Parents are responsible for transportation, not coaches, especially if there are more that three athletes from the same high school.
