GUIDELINES
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
I. MEET PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
A. Do not use school transportation i.e. bus, vans.
B. Do not wear any school issued uniforms or running apparel
that could be construed as school issued. e.g. If running
apparel says Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, it is easy for someone
to assume that it is school issued.
C. Entry fees at meets cannot be paid with school issued checks.
D. Athletes must use club name when entering events and
reporting finishes.
E. All meet entry fees are determined by the meet director at
each site, the meet director reserves the right to the dismiss
any individual (athlete, coach, parent, entire club) from their
facility in the event of misconduct. This will be reported to
the appropriate M.I.T.S. director.
E. The jewelry rule and the temporary adornment rule will be in
effect.
F. All relays must have matching tops, not plain white T-shirts.
G. Coaches MAY be requested to record and turn relay splits into
meet director in order to confirm your relay team's time.
H. No spikes are allowed at any of the qualifying meets, however
spikes will be allowed at the Championship Meet.
II. STATE MEET QUALIFICATIONS.
A. Athletes will still register at meets with club names if they
are on a relay team. If an athlete is running in an individual
event, they do not need a club name.
B. It is the responsibility of the ATHLETE to register for the
State Meet.
Standards will be posted on www.mitstrack.org and if the athlete
hits the
standard, they must register by using the form on the website.
C. No doubling in individual running events. Athletes will be
allowed to run
one individual running event. They will be able to compete in
four events. The
other events can be a combination of relays and/or field events.
